and please don't call me brother, I am not your brother.....I am ashamed to share the same race with you.

because I am it

I said,"He has been slowly trying to turn into a super cool "nigga, that hustle caws he nehver struggle."
Got you all worked up. You know what else, don't sit there thinking poverty is reserved for blacks. They are the only victims of being poor and having an abundance of drugs in the community. That is foolish. Can I call you Brotha? Adding "a" seems to water things down.

dude, you don't think I know that?, I wasn't the one that made it seem that way, you are funny and you have a lot to learn about life dude, I can't sit here and chat with you all day, In the meantime, I will continue to be a "produca" and make money while I chill wit my "Niggas" that are from and NOT from "Da Hood".

Just remember people are a product of their environments, and by environment It starts with their home life, I've lived in the "Environment" most of my life. But my parents, sports, and school kept me out of that "Environment".

So yes I get down with thugs and dope dealers, but I wanted more out of life. So to answer your question, I am sitting in front my computer at an internship where I am a software engineer. Man, just be blessed.......

"holla Back", "Peace", "Lata", "1", "(fill in whatever ebonics/slang you want to use for goodbye)"

Congrats on the internship!

That is cool. What kind of software?

Im gonna cry if these two guys don't become friends. Seriously, that isn't weird is it? ;)

lol...no..that would be great.

let's sing "heal the world" together

Thank you to everyone who went off topic and ruined my post...

Did your question get answered at least???

Why is it that every decent question about hiphop gets answered and then a battle rages about something that has nothing to do with the topic?

Truth of the matter is BB is right.

Guess what?

So is Mo-Kay if you're speaking of a producer in the hip hop world.

Granted Metalhead has a good point too. The term is passed around more than a joint after a studio session.

Just as crossstudio said some people are "beat-makers" and others are "producers".

You can decide for yourself what distinguishes the two.

As for the term "nigga". I don't care how black you are it doesn't give you the right to belittle yourself or the other person you was speaking too with the word.

Theres a time and place for that shit and I don't feel the time is in this forum.

Just put it like this you would be ready to woop any other races ass to the point of near death for using the word. Why in the fuck would you want to use it on yourself?

Forrest Gump said it best "stupid is as stupid does" so how stupid do you feel that you can't find another word to express yourself?

...what this guy said (on the producer part, I'm not getting involved in the whole "nigga" discussion)

Why does the hip-hop/urban community insist on adding jargon to the english language, substituting words for others...adding new meanings to words. Speaking in code.

It so the authorities won't understand them and to be a trend setter. Most of the words used to mean something else if looked at very carefully it is a very clever play on words.

authorities auschmorities....

slang is everywhere...not just black america. it's in Africa, in Europe, Asia, everywhere man, that's just the way it is...different placing, different words. Slang, dialect, it's everwhere. it's not a black thing.

this is true...but those 2 things I said are motivational factors probably trend setting more so then Authorities, but that would depend on what words as well.

All the different names for weed, crack, coke, guns etc. Authorities are the motivation for the new names you'll hear like every few months.

No offense your from the netherlands so I think things are a little different here in the states(New York to be specific) then over there

yeah...

we don't have drugs over here :D

I know what you mean, still, that's the same all across the globe, too.

The funny thing is....Since this is my topic I CAN JUST LOCK IT!!! HAHAHAH adn u should all be ashamed of urselves for getting off topic...
