question about guitar hangers.

after i play my guitar, and come back to it after its been hung up, the strings are always sharp. is this because of it being hung up? its almost every time, and the strings are always the same amount sharp. i dont get it

Yeah, they will go sharp, and a little more in the Winter too. I've been using this hanger for several years and really like having the choice of guitars ready and waiting-but keep a tuner handy for tuning tweeks.

I doubt it is from being hung up - certainly, I've never had that problem with any of my guitars, nor with any of the guitars hanging up in the shop.

It's more likely that changes in humidity are the culprit.

I've got a dozen on hangers, and I notice no change in pitch in them. When I'm using a couple for a project, the one I've most recently played often stays on the floor on a stand. But when I grab one off the wall to record with it--it's in tune with the other. No problems.
