Hi thanks DJL... apparently, that is not the problem... I used it today and there was none of that rumbling, so it may be more of an intermitent thing, I gotta test it a few days more...
I don't know... I'm using a pop filter about 4 inches away from the mic, and I'm singing about 2 inches away from the pop filter, so I don't know how moisture could have gotten there... I'll see what happens today if I get some of the same behavior... Thanks for replying...
Well I bought this mic on a trial basis, I have to test it various ways and singing was one way.... All things considered, for a $50 mic, it sounded decent, lot of bass response, I really thought it was going to sound bad... I wouldn't use it as a vocal mic though... It also depends what preamp you're running it through...
How do you use this mic??

You're SINGING into an ECM8000?
What a novel concept...I never really thought about using one of them for vocals....
Other than that, not much. I hear that a set makes a passable OH combo, but I've got 012's for that. I haven't really tried it for anything else...but I suppose I could try it on something...just for the fun of it.
