The studio I'm building has a set of double doors that opens from the main studio room to a somewhat busy street. I had always planned on a double set of doors, but i'm still concerned. Our latest idea was to go with the double doors AND a vestibule in on the porch, but now i wonder if there's a door out there with a high STC that's affordable.

Any ideas?

I would think the double doors offer a great way to get equipment in and out. If you add a vestibule, you'd lose this unless you got another set of doors.
BTW, is this studio in Andover?

thats exactly it, there will be another set of doors, but if i could avoid it with the first 2 sets, within monetary reason, i'd rather.

no, chuck, i live in andover, have a busy home studio here, but too busy, i'm moving the studio 5 minutes away, in Methuen. are you the guy from Danvers? Have a commercial studio there?

I used to own a house in Methuen - your pic looked familiar. I'm not "the guy in Danvers", but I have a friend who runs a full-time Pro Tools rig in Middleton off 114. Hope you don't mind if I send you a private message.

the place is on Haverhill Street, (110) not far east of I-93.

are you talking about the place that used to be Metropolis in Middleton? i used to have a few dealings with Bob Tudor over there. no problem with emailing.

I used to live right off Haverhill St. on the Lawrence line.
