Hi - I was just curious about the verb settings people use on the Quad. Im a new GT owner and although the delays and EQ is great, the verb is a little bit of a challenge..
My best efforts so far are ok ish, but the tails are 'grainy' for want of a better word. Any suggestions for smooth short tail settings appreciated!

You could be asking/saying 'don't like the sound of the tails so make them shorter? Hmm.
(..powers up 'Quad first time in a while.. :)
The things you look to to dial in how your verb fits (or where' in the case of time) are typically Decay, Shape and Attack (you don't get those two here..), Pre Delay, and extending time into the tone realm, Low and high decays.
'Smoothness is Diffusion and Density here.. (I vaguely recall their difference in the Quad?)
But to all verbs in general- it's also what you send it. Sharp sounds reveal the small details in a verb. Often this shows up things you don't want to hear –or want to know about a verb. (Case in point Quad vs a lowly LXP1
Second options on 'smooth would be attenuate (eq) the highs going in (and/or out), sometimes compress transient going in. Quad lets you patch the eq into the path.
Also pare the patch selections down so you can use verb types '2' -presumably more processing gong to the verbs there.
