Hi
Has anyone else tried PSP Audioware Vintage Warmer multi band compressor plugin?

I’m pretty impressed. I’ve been playing with the demo for several months now. Liked it so much that I purchased the full blown version. I was tempted to buy the PSP Master Pack (Vintage Warmer and their MasterQ $249 US), but I was pretty unimpressed with the MasterQ. So much so that I figured I’d forego the discount of buying the two of them together.

Seems to do a lot for my mixes. It’s also really nice as a ‘per track’ type of tool.

I’d love to hear from folks on this bbs, what their thoughts and experiences are with this plugin. Do you use it for mastering? Individual tracks? How does it compare to other plugins of the same genre?

Appreciate your feedback...

I love the PSP stuff. I use the VW a lot. I got the mix pack too, love the saturator. Quality plugs and a very good effect when used sparingly

What didn't you like about it? when set to thru its EXTREMELY transparent and all the other saturation option give you more flavors making it suitable for everything in my world anyway YMMV...

As for Vintagewarmer I used to use it on everything now a day i may use it on a drum or synth bus but even that is becomong rarer now a day. If you want something to 'warm' your tracks up look at the voxengo warmifier, i'm getting some good results with it though the controls are confusing at first, you gotta experiment with each knob and see what it does to the sound

Thanks for your feedback.

Teacher:

I don’t think that I ‘didn’t like' the PSP MasterQ, necessarily...

It just didn’t impress me like the VW did...I couldn’t justify the additional expense right now, given that the eq plugins that came stock with GTPro v.2 and v.3 seem to do the trick

I’m thinking that I might buy the MasterQ in the future, but I can do a lot with the eq that I’ve already got...

I need to farkle some more...or is it really just a sickness?
Tom

PS I'll have to check out this Voxengo thingamajig that you suggest. I'll see if they have a demo...

Thanks for the tip...
