Proper use for a patchbay?

I too am in the market for a patchbay, and found the PX3000 has switchs on the top to switch modes which is very nice when moving equipment around on the patchbay. I was qouted a price of $40 from fullcompass, call them and see if they will give you the same price. And here are some cheap patchbay cbales http://pulsartech.zoovy.com/product/P36S_A9 you may want two or three packs of them. And here is a hint to keep your bay organized, put white tape around the plastic plug on the second set of cables, and black on the thrid set, so you can easily trace which cable goes where. And as far as the cheaper behringer bays go, the PX2000 is unbalanced so I doubt you want that. And the PX1000 doesn't have the switches to switch modes, I think you have to cut something to switch modes. At only $40, the PX3000 makes a lot more sense to me.

awesome yeah .. im starting to understand alot more thanks guys .. so you like the behringer ones ... ive been trying to get that name out of my studio but its just a patchbay so thats ok! haha unless someone has a different one to reccomend?
