problems with pro tools m powerd

wasn't exactly sure where to post this... since i've never used protools before the "newbies" section seemed appropriate.


I installed my delta 1010lt got everything working.. it plays back the way i want and records just fine in audition.. With the 1010 I got a demo version of pro tools m powerd. I've never even seen pro tools before but I figure it can't hurt to learn and who knows I might even really enjoy it.

problem is although audition has no problems identifying my 1010 pro tools keeps telling me it can't find an m-audio device.

I've tried uninstalling pro tools and re installing it.. as well as the drivers for the 1010..

I disabled my other sound card but still nothing.

any thoughts?

check to make sure you have the latest version of the drivers...

and that your OS is up to spec with the M-Powered version (ie. Not running Vista or have the latest update for Mac, etc.)
Try that first.

thanks man.. but now pro tools is asking me for some key and it refuses to work... I'm starting to get turned off pro tools with out evan trying it.. i just want to try the damn demo to see if i want to invest in the actual program...

maybe if i download the demo from their actual site i'd have more luck?
