Problem with panning

I'm working with a VS1824CD and I'm afraid I don't get it. I can bring up the correct parameter fields to adjust the relative pan of 2 inputs to the mixer bus, but there is no change in the relative pan in the output to the monitors, or on the mastering tracks, when they are recorded. I've tried this with the channels linked and unlinked, and the result is the same. Everything is panned "down the middle". Anybody have a clue what I'm missing here? It's fun actually, up to this point. I'm exporting tracks from a Korg PXR4 to the Roland, panned hard left and hard right, which is no problem, to a stereo input on the VS, so I've managed to get the tracks onto the Roland with complete separation. Question is, why can't I restore the relative pan once the tracks are in the 1824, and then burn to CD with the relative pan preserved? I know I'm missing something simple here. Any clues?-Riche

Routing in the digital boxes can be a little tough. Make sure that the buss you are sending the tracks to has been panned hard L-R respectively.

Problem solved. Just me not understanding thr routing configuration.-Thanks, Tex.-Richie
