hey everybody hope all is well and the tracks clear. I have a problem with a Mixer/Master-er. I made a newbie mistake and sent him the original hardrive and PT sessions for my album (this is my first rodeo). We did not sign a contract, but he said if we didn't like the tracks we could walk. So we didn't like the tracks. He asked us to be generous and pay him something for his time (he said it was worth 2500 for two songs, just to give us an idea), as well as the money to mail back the harddrive. After a big misunderstanding about the money and me mailing him $50, he will not answer text, calls, or emails. It has been over two weeks since he should have received the money. To top it all off I live in OK and he lives in KY (friend of a KY friend). What should my next step be? Thanks.

$2500 for two songs huh?

You own the drive and the tracks. If you cannot just work it out on your own, find an attorney or someone that sounds like one to write him threatening to sue for your product.

If that don't work, call Judge Judy. :)

Oh, and in the future, never send your original hard drive without making a copy first. Bad bad bad....

why 300? I think if he said whatever we wanted and i gave him $50 ($10 approx for mailing/$40 for work) that is fine. Please let me know. Thanks.

Please ignore the new site troll... Not sure what he is up to.

[expletive]!
you could get 30 songs mastered by world class places like Audible Oddities for less that that!

OK...that was pretty dumb, but did you at least keep a back-up copy of the session files.....or was that that only   :( copy?

Some friend of a friend. :D
You got a car....?
Kentucky is not that far away. Show up with a baseball bat, I'm sure he'll reconsider. :)

If that's too extreme for you....have your friend contact his "friend" and ask WTF is his problem?

If this is all you are going to do here is make silly comments, then please go somewhere else. Thank you. :)

Glad you noticed... I've been coming across this guy all day.... looks like your classic "I need 10 posts" play but I can't see that he's posted a link anywhere... who knows!:D

Back ..... to the OP's problem..:thumbs up:
