Hey everyone....this is an odd one. I don't think it has anything to do with my MR-8, but I know a lot of you folks use N-track, and I think that's where the problem is, so hopefully you can offer some advice.

I just finished my first recording on my MR-8, and it went really smoothly. Then I imported the wav's into N-track (which I just purchased today), did some minor EQing, and mixed it down into a single wav. All that went fine.

Then, when I went to listen to the mixed wav file, it played at at least twice the speed of the original. I assume there's some setting I have to change, but I can't seem to find anything.

Any help you might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch....I just posted over at the n-Track board, which I never knew existed.

Check the Sample rate of your wav file. You should be mixing down to a 16 Bit - 44.1 kHz file for playback on a CD.

maybe it's messed up on xfer. did you use the wave manager to xfer or just usb read thru the pc? I'd try wave manager and re transfer if youdidn't do that already.

If you can change the speed on your own, that would be kind of cool, actually. I guess some editors do that, I have none yet but plan to get something.

What is an example of an editor, and what exactly can you do with them?

I think they are talking about a wav editor. You can do numerous things with them. Go to www.goldwave.com and download their's. I've been using it for awhile now and really like it. It has good noise reduction, volume maximizing, compression, etc.
