You need to pump the midi out to a keyboard, a rack mounted midi synth, or install a SoundBlaster card in your PC or use a software MIDI synth like the Roland SoftCanvas.
I use an Echo Mia and an SBLive together and it works very well for me.
I have midi connected in & out to my keyboard and I have recorded midi with my keyboard before.

You don't want to understand, do you?I got it fixed with no help from you dummies, thank you!
It depends on how well you want your MIDI to sound. If you are happy with the VSC-sounds, then use it!Is the DXi soft synth bundled with HS adequate or do I need something else?
Yes! Try it, you'll be suprised to find that it just might work!Am I correct that if I use the DXi soft synth that I can then mix the midi with the audio tracks for output through my studio monitors and can burn fully mixed CD's with all the midi & audio tracks mixed?
