Hi.
I Use Cuebase LE4 (win 7) and Lexicon Alpha to record some audio tracks.
I've been doing it for some time without any issues, until today the thing just
stopped playing back. you can see the levels are OK at the mixer's output level indicator (green lights bouncing), but no actual sound comes out...
. Recording still works fine, and I can hear the resulting audio files
when I play them back directly with another program.
Updated to latest Alpha driver, didn't help.
Whenever I try to choose the Alpha driver in the 'Asio Driver' menu in the Device Setup
dialog, I am getting an error saying 'asio driver alpha could not be initialized'.
This happens also when Cuebase is the only running application (although it is not
impossible that some process is using it on the background without me being aware ?)
Any ideas will be very welcome !
Cheers

Try going to Device Manager and uninstall the Alpha driver, then download the new one. I vaguely remember an issue with that once. Try another USB cable as well.

updating

thanks for the reply. I just had a small progress - I found out that when loading old projects, they playback fine. So I assume the problem is not related to hardware or to drivers, but rather to project setting, but I still can't find it...
