Hey All!
Feeling kinda stupid right now, Iv'e never tried comp recording (only studio stuff with an engineer) so here goes...
Borrowed a Mackie 1202VLZ pro for the weekend so I could record some f'ed up drum loops . Then I thought , hey I'll download PT Free and record the tracks into the computer so I can have longer performances to choose from.
So I got my 2 ECM8000 set up as roomies and an ambient room mic and they sound great in the headphones.
But I can't get the signal into PT Free! Computer is an IMAC DV, with the 1/8 input for audio. I've got trs 1/4 (L and R) into a single 1/4 which then has a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter.
I've tried to get signal out of every possible place on the Mackie from main out to aux send to channel 1 & 2 inserts and no dice.
Anyone use this devilish Pro Tools Free demon out there that can help? I am 5 seconds away from pulling out an old tape deck and recording it to that hiss and all....
thanks!
