pro tools and roland vs series?

okay, i just got pro tools LE and don't know much about it. i also have the roland vs-840 8 track. i want to sync all of my pre-recorded songs from the roland to the pro tools computer. what's the best way to do this? i know nothing about s/pdif. should i go midi? if so, what settings should i set the pro tools system to, meaning time code settings???? what about the roland? if anyone knows these two systems, preferably pro tools please help me out..........

I've got the VS880, Cakwalk, and Cubase. Don't know ProTools that well. However sync'ing is similar.

Mainly be sure to choose one of MTC or MIDIClock for both PT and VS. Then be sure to select one of the two as the master and one of the two as the slave. There's probably something in each manual about more of the particulars.
