Hi Guys, well I finally found the funds to upgrade from my Digi 001/PT6.4 rig to a Digi 002 rack with PT7.1.
The PT7 install was fine, but when I try to launch Pro Tools, it gets to 'DAE Loaded' and freezes. The 1394 led on the front of the 002 mainly stays on but blinks a little pattern every 10 seconds or so and it will just stay that way for hours if I let it. I have tried several reinstalls to no avail.
A bit of history - when I went to install PT7 (on my Intel P4 3Ghz XP Pro SP3 Desktop) it said I had to uninstall the other version from Add/Remove programs first. It was not in the list! A quick search of the web revealed an app called PT Nuke 12 which uninstalled PT6.4 no probs.
I have now installed it on my laptop (P4M 2Ghz which has never had PT on it before) and it launches normally, but the copy on the desktop will not. I even emptied the Plug-Ins folder in case there was a conflict with any of my older plug-ins, but, no improvement.
Does anyone have any idea of what I can try next?
