Ok, so I'm new to all this - but I wondered if anyone else has this problem. I mixed down some audio tracks into a sub mix (to free up some tracks) and noticed that the Tempo has gone down a fraction... it still shows the Tempo as 110.00, but I would stake my life that my project has slowed by about 0.05. I know this is a tiny fraction - but it's annoying me.

Anyone else noticed this....?

Why dont you really find out if it is real or your imagination, get a stopwatch and time the difference. I would be curious to know the results.

Try it again and see if you get the same results. As much as we wish they were these programs are not always right on all the time. It may be OK on a second try, unless of course you have already tried this and in that case I have no idea. I have had some funny things happen at times that have sounded strange, dragging etc. and sometimes I have had to even restart the program or the computer altogether.

It's for real...!

It's definately happening.

The only reason I found out is because I recorded some Drum Tracks on my Yamaha DTX Sequencer at the same tempo. Then I noticed the different speeds when I was trying to get things in sync (this is not an idealistic way of doing things, but until I move my drum kit next to my PC - it will have to do).

So, last night I reverted to the pre-mixdown version of my song, and lo and behold - the tempos are sweet.

It's not a big deal - I've got round the problem now, it's just for a moment there I thought I was loosing my mind...! Having said all this I am very impressed with the Pro Audio 9, it has made such a difference to my home recording - Goodbye Tascam 414...!

Dave.
