Practice techniques

I'm not talking about bending or intonation. Just playing one note, as simple as possible... Very basic. It's much more logical on a piano, where you just need one finger, but on guitar, sax, trumpet whatever, it always works...

But the bending excercise is a good one too... A good way to practice his is playing for example at the 12the fret, and then bending at the 10th fret. This way youu can work on getting your bends in pitch.

No enemies... I'm too lazy for that. :D

ahhh yes``

i know a great way of teaching yourself is simply offa tabs.
if you wanna learn to solo: get Joe Satriani's Surfing With The Alien. It has a lot of techniques in it. They're suitable anywhere from a beginner to an experienced player. Just practice the stuff and get faster with it.

Then, definitely, get a rythm guitar book, such as Master Of Puppets by Metallica. They may not be great, but have great rythm.

Then for improv, simply get a scalebook and practice with cd's or friends. You can solo to ANYTHING.

songwriting???? heh, just learn the instrument back and foward. Then it'll be cake.
