hehe, wow... i feel stupid  In the Preferences you could choose the input for mono audio... just had to take 'Left+Right (2tracks)' to get both my channels..

now I have a different question.. Ive never really worked with MIDI..
how can I make the MIDI sound good.. I've read it depends of your sound card..wavetable or not.. I dont have one.. and the only thing i do have is the Mictosoft Wavetable thing that doesnt sound the best...
Can I get another wavetable emulator? How to install? How much they cost? etc..

yea, Ill check the live help out some day...

jeesh. i assumed you had done that. YES - use the LIVE CHAT with support.
no other company i know gives you this type of support.
on midi - the quality of midi sounds purely depends on which midi modules
you get ie...non cheesy.
what a lot of pro's do is use a midi master keyboard with no sounds in,
connected to midi in of pc, then connect some midi modules to midi out of pc.
hers a tutorial for ya....

have a listen sometime. to the above. theres a lot of talent and pro's using these products. peace.
if you have more q's - ask.

yea, I went over this list before.. you gave it to somebody else also.. sounds ok.
I think I still prefer analog audio I think..
Even if I have to do the drums by strumming on the bottom of the trash bin in my dorm room (hehe, it sounds pretty cool on the recording).

I'll try to get more comfortable with MIDI stuff in few days..
Do you have any good and cheap MIDI modules to suggest?

also i forgot to mention....theres a ton of help at pg.
if you look on and click the support on the left hand site of the main page youll see a ton of FAQ's , and tutorials to help you.
by the way - i looked at traktion. good luck if that does it for you.
all i can say is the interface - ugh !!
the midi features are just not there by comparison.
load a midi file into powerttracks, just one of your win midi files that came with win, and check out the range of options in notation editing in powertracks. by the way - if you have a midi guitar controller ,
the guitar fretboard can be usefull. peace.

aua, you missed my last post about midi modules.. we posted at the same time
oh gosh, I love the rolleyes smiley!

you dont have to bash on trash cans. in powertracks is a very sophisticated drum pattern maker. to help you build drum tracks easily.
then if you output to a sampler that supports midi or a good multitimbral
midi sound module - you can get great drum sounds.
a sampler with midi input is what a lot of pro's use. because you can load high quality drum sounds. eg...you can get cd's of great drum sounds done by folks like clearmountain and many others.
for multi-timbral sound modules - i would check out the used market.
tons of roland. Korg and other midi modules around cheap. ive seen some as low as 50 bucks.
gotta go now into a session - will talk tomorrow.peace.

Manning, Do you use a control surface with PowerTracks? Im looking into PowerTracks, and was wondering what some good options may be as far as control surfaces go.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

airer. due to the way the program has worked for me ive never needed a control surface. also - ive worked with friends ones, and frankly i think they are too expensive , and ive seen people have problems with them.
some friends of mine initially were excited by the idea...but once they got used to the mouse i noticed they were often gathering dust.
if this is a hot button with you , as i said you can talk live chat with pg support about your specific needs. this is what i would do - as i'm not an expert in control surfaces. they know way more than i will ever do about midi and control surfaces etc. peace.
