Im just sick of people posting in threads that they dont belong, nor offering any opinions wether negative or positive, go to AOL chat rooms if ya just wanna run your mouth, Im here solely to gather info and real life user opinions on gear and setups, and whatnot.....like some of you.
This dumass actually admitted he dosent know anything about the products Im interested in yet has like 3 or 4 post in this thread that so far that have accomplished nothing but problems.
Whats the point? That my friends is the problem.

It's a free world biatch. People post wherever and whatever the fuck they want. If you pulled your head out of your ass long enough to actually realize that Thomas is a very experienced speaker designer you could have taken advantage of that to ask him any questions you like about monitor design and maybe you would actually learn something.

If you had bothered to do a search you would realize this is the 10,000th 'best monitor for $400' post and the answer like always is go listen and see what ones you like because monitors are a very subjective thing. You would also see if your room isn't properly treated for mixing it won't matter how good/bad the monitors are.

But if it makes you feel better go get the Alesis/Maudio/Behringer Musicians Friend deal of the month because according to some anonymous jerk on the internet they rocked/sucked.

I put some live penguins on the walls of my studio....Is that what you meant by treat the room for mixing?Next Im gonna blast a big hole in the floor and fill it w mayonaise.That oughtta solve my 5k eq problems.

I realize thomas is an asshole...as are most speaker designers, engineers, etc.

I named my studio after my dog, and its a joke anyway, she runs 15 miles a day w me while I'm on my mtn bike. And Im not married but do co habitate, and my mom is in excellent shape as well, for a 73 year old,why ya want her number ya weirdoe? In fact she'd probably kick most of your elitist jerk off asses simultaneously even!!!

Can't we stop bickering? I agree with fatdog that this forum and a few others have become a little more socially competitive than they should be, but I know that everyone here knows it's not intended to be like that.

I am very interested in the Event TR5 monitors, and I am open to suggestions for any others in the 200-400 dollar range for biamped powered monitors. I was also looking at Fostex PM0.5s and Behringer Truths and MAudio BX5s, but I think the Events may be the best. Anybody know anything that could help us out here without the trashtalk?
 
the events are cool.they are one of the choices Im dealing w myself...Im looking to hear the behringer truth series pretty quickly...I have been told they are crazy for the money and sound like a million bucks, well maybe 750.00 anyway.I think they are more pwerful than the events as well.MF has a sweet ass deal on em too.
Id say stay away from fostex or edirol or roland.

I have a pair of Event TR5. I love them.
 
I have the TR8's - I'm satisified so far but i havent really owned anything to compare em to. AS far as build quility though i can at least say they are solid and I havent had any problems out of em over a year now.

I was looking at the Truths too and though every review I've read say they sound like way more than they cost (300 at GC), but I got the same gripe in like half of the reviews: the RF shielding. Apparently it's horrible. I read about all these guys trying to mixdown and they were picking up Celine Dion......maybe i'll pick them up and see if its a serious problem. I've never had any problems with radio interference before.

I found a new one in the same price range I like...the MAudio BX5s. Anyone have them or know anything about them?
