i have this problem when i turn on vs880 to record or to use as a monitor every 20 to 40 min it shuts off the power cuts out, and then it comes back on, what could be the problem , ive had this vs 880 for about 1 1/2 yrs, never had problems till now what could be the prob, any one ......... thanks

A VS unit with a problem? Geez that sounds like a Guiness Book record. Looks like you're in Hayward. I'm in Stockton. Aren't I lucky? I've had a VS880EX for maybe 4 years and I've never heard of any failures. Maybe contact Roland.

May sound almost insulting, but have you tried the complete current path until you're in your vs? Something a broken power chord or so? I often noticed problems at that side would cause me to look at every other side first...

yes i tried this .. i looked at the plug it's hooked to but it's not that i even sprayed some contact cleaner in the on /off switch, nothing!ive called roland, and i need to send it in$75an hour plus parts,is there some where else i can take it that's not so expensive?......thanks for the reply's peeps

You might want to take a look at www.vsplanet.com which is the Roland users bbs. They're usually much more responsive than Roland Technical Support (who????) - ask your question on the VS-880 forum.

Good Luck!
