Polyurethane Foam for Bass trap?

Not even acoustic. Just generally fluffy insulation, as thick as you can get it(well at least 12" probably).

Also, you may want to investigate mineral wool. That seems to be more readily available in many places where rigid fiberglass isn't

I believe I read on Ethan's site or somewhere that (12?) inches in depth of regular insulation will work similarly to 4 inches of compressed.
I built a number of 8 inch deep acoustic panels that include, among other things, 12 inches of pink insulation.
They (along with my OC-703 panels) have made a big difference in my little 11 X 11 room.
