The question being 'which one worth it?', the SansAmp Bass Driver is certainly worth the price.

I'm with Ray- neither. Mention an alternative? Avalon U-5. The only Avalon you can buy new for $500. The same circuitry is in my AD2022, and the damn thing rocks!. I'll agree with the others- I have found very little use for amp sims on a bass. Every so often I'll run something through a bass Vamp Pro for an effect, but 98% of all bass tracks go to the Avalon. Of those, 75% of them go dorect, and s5% go to a power amp, then to an Ampeg bass extension cab, and get mic'd up. Then they go (duh), right back to the Avalon.-Richie

I own a PODxt...it has it's applications here and there.

I own a SansAmp...love it...use it alot.

I have found however that my POD through my second bass rig (vintage Kustom 3x15 + 200B head) sounded A-MA-ZING when I dialed in a particular cab and amp sim...I don't know why, but it just does.

curiously enough, my other rig is an Ampeg 1540HE and an SVT-3, and the cab sim I used on the POD, through the Kustom was the Ampeg 8x10. Go figure...
