Over the last year, my set up has gotten smaller and smaller. Right now I have a motu 828, joemeek vc1, digimax (soon, i hope), and a g4 laptop. It's basically a 16 track recording studio in a small 4U rack. I was reading about the Pod Pro. It would be cool if I could add this to the set up, allowing me to plug directly into my system rather than having to mic my amp. Is this a viable system? How does it sound? Any good/bad experiences? Thanks.

at the bar where i do sound this guy who plays evey tuesday uses a pod pro on his accoustic guitar.....sounds great, tons of effect setting and such. he says he is using it on all the electric guitars on his upcoming album......IMHO, you cant really go wrong with it, as the sound from it is useable, whereas somtimes it is difficult to get a good miced sound. it would fit well into your protable system. not the be all and end all of guitar processing, but really damn close.
