Hey Everyone,

Please let me know what you think of a song I just recorded called "Sunrise." Go to www.myspace.com/soundstruckstudios. There are no vocals and the mix is alittle quiet. Also on the pre-choruses you can hear the gating on the snare. I plan on covering that up with another guitar or piano line. Other than that you can still get the idea. I'm open to any criticism. Thanks!
 
So nicely recorded. Really love the tone of the tune.

Want to hear it with a singer now.

It sounds good. Do you have it to play at a low rez, because the bass drum sounds really punchy to me and the cymbals sound a little digital-y (like it is running at 64kbps).

Good tune man, I want a singer!!!
 
Well I agree overall it sounds good... but really it's hard to tell at this quality. The kick sounds too beefy--and I know the cymbals sound the way the do because of the quality, but like I said it's hard to tell.

If you could upload a better quality mp3 somewhere we could probably give a more accurate listen.
 
that sounds great. very well mixed and great tones. did you play everything yourself?

The song sounds very good. Are you part of Sound Struck Studios? Is this a professional recording or a home studio recording?
 
Worked this time...Good drum parts, guitar a bit like U2 cause it really fills with the rhythm/lead. Bass drum is a tiny bit hot maybe as stated before. This is an excellent foundation for a song - just need some kik'n vocalist to add their part.....Good one :D
 
SoundStruck Studio is my home Studio. It does sound pretty bad due to the streaming from myspace (they dont let you upload anything over 3 mb i think). Sorry for the poor quality. I'm glad that people will give time to listen to a 17 year olds recording (considering if I ever state my age no one will listen!) Thanks for the feedback.

I really liked the 2nd song, 'If You Lived By The...', better than the first. Very good vocals and overall sound quality. Is that you singing? You should think about putting a link to your myspace site in your signature or, better yet, opening up a site ar soundclick.com. Good work. :)
