heres my story,
i currently work in my fathers studio, which is a great setup with alot of really nice equipment. In august i am moving to florida to go to Full Sail for recording arts and entertainment business. So therefore i am moving down there by myself and i want to start building a studio on my own. As of right now along with various instruments, i own 2, yes 2, recording items of my own.

1) Tech21 sansamp bass preamp
2) AKG d112 bass drum mic

I have been putting away money for a while now for when i make the move so i can buy some equipment. I will be running pro tools since that is what i am going to be certified in, so forget the whole interface portion for right now. im trying to get an idea of how much money i should aim for, so i came up with a list of equipment that i am going to need regardless of the interface. let me know if i am missing anything really important. oh and also, i currently record bands that are acoustic or post-hardcore/alternative. in other words, 2-3 guitars, bass, drums, sometimes keyboard, and vocals.

here is what i came up with (prices are estimates)
Shure SM57 (3) 90.00
Small Mic Stand (2) 25.00
Mic Stand Boom (3) 20.00
Shure KSM27 (1) 299.00
Mic Cable (7) 10.00
Instrument Cable (3) 10.00
Headphones (2) 60.00
KRK RP8 monitor (2) 250.00

comes out to around $1200.
am i missing anything, or have things i probably wont need? different brands that do the same?

any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

I forget about those everytime! I've been thinking about a picking up a new mic pre, felt like that was what I was missing.....but the lava lamp may move up in the chain.
