Pink Floyd songs.

Would it be ok with the one hosting these files, if they were uncompressed wav files? If so, I would also like the drummer to post the multitrack wavs of his kit. And the guitar part that was just put up, is this the take, or a guide? If it is a take, post it by itsself.

Sure! WAV's are fine. The guitar/bass/drums MP3 is NOT a take, unless nobody volunteers to play bass and rhythm guitars. Until then, it's just a guide mainly because nobody was doing anything so I thought if I went ahead and did it, somebody might think, "Shit, I can do better than that!" and then cut the tracks themselves. ;)

I also thought it might get some of the other volunteers to moving if they had a guide to go by.

I have done the vocals from the breathe reprise part. It is in mp3 form, and I will get it in wav when the project is completed, and ready to mix. Here are the vocals mixed togeather so you don't have to download 4 tracks to see what it sounds like.

I'll render and upload the drum wavs tonight, if everything works out. The files are large.
 
The vocals sound great! I think it would be good if the full track was uploaded so that whoever (by the way, who IS going to mix this?) mixes the song doesn't have to mess with lining up tracks. Do you agree?

Who volunteered to sing the "Time" part of the song? And where are those solo's promised? Oh, yeah, I have to do one too. ;)

Still no female background vocaliists? Anybody want to replace my crappy bass playing?

All mono, 24 bits/48Khz.
Some tracks have been nudged or phase-inverted.
Left/right is from the drummer's point of view. Feel free to change that.
The tracks are flat, without compression, and without gates, so everything bleeds into the tom tracks. We'll have to be careful in mixing to avoid phase cancelation.
The toms in the intro should get more reverb, a large hall, maybe.
 
I did upload the full tracks. I just did the mix so you could listen to them without about 4 minutes of dead air.

I don't play well enough to contribute but have been following this thread as I am very eager to see what the end result sounds like.:D
 
HOPEFULLY... I'll put up my solo the first of the week... And if nobody is going to take a stab at the bass and rhythm guitar, I'll post that too.

If you guys need the 'Great Gig In The Sky' style high vocals, im your guy! I know its different to the original but its my party piece :)
 
I put up my solo mix and will put up the actual 24-bit WAV file later this afternoon. THIS picks up at the chorus going into the solo and fades immediately after the solo just so you can hear it with the drums, bass and guitar.

Where'd everybody go that was involved and wanted to be involved in this????

Fantastic solo! Just opened a beer and listened to it.

I've had a busy week and only just saw your post.

So now we have : drums, Breathe Reprise vocals, guitar solo, as well as the guide bass and rhythm guitar parts.

We still need:
final bass and rhythm guitar
ConcreteLake: keyboards (organ, rhodes, and synth)
Oknor: Time vocals

Is that right?

Thanks NightFlight! It seems as if the excitement that this project generated has faded, so if nobody else wants to participate I'll recut the bass and guitar and maybe add some keys myself. The keys won't be great, but they'll be passable. ;)

Come on guys. Lets do this. We need to stop being lazy. This project is one that really needs to be done. And not just have tossed togeather. I mean done right. Come on.
 
Time/Dark Side Info

I was writing some radio bits and, in particular, This Day In History and found that:

"On this day (April 23) in 1988 Pink Floyd's album Dark Side of the Moon, after spending the record total of 741 consecutive weeks (over 14 years) on the Billboard 200 album chart, left the charts for its first time ever."

So I clicked on the link for "Time" and found it an interesting read. You can click links to other songs on the album as well from there (go to Dark Side Of The Moon link first) but to go to the "Time" info:
