So... uh... what's with all the unnecessary hostility in the clinic???



...in case anyone didn't notice... this is a mixing clinic. We have a place for trash-talk. It's called the Cave. So take it there.



Piltdown... thought this recording was pretty cool. Nice and clear. Interesting effects. A little avant-garde. Catchy beat too. :)

I thought the effects on the voice got to be a tiny bit too much by the end, but not too bad.


btw... I read the lyrics a few times, and if you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have even noticed that this was "aimed" at any particular segment of the population. Plenty of people here disagree about theology/politics/whatever, but we all seem to get along. If I new exactly what this was about, I'd prolly disagree with it, but the same goes for 90% of the other stuff in this forum and on the radio. The point is, we're all here to make music... No matter what it's about. So, for future reference... if you don't start fires, you usually won't end up with any flames. :p

Man, I just said something to that effect in my thread too. It's getting really bad don't you think? There's a new crew of trolls fresh off the boat that seem to have nothing better to do. They should probably just shut up and play some guitar.

Seriously dude. You and I prolly couldn't agree our way out of a paper bag when it comes to politics :p, but we never had to resort to name calling and trolling.

We really do need a mod to take Slack's place since he bowed out. Every once in a while, someone needs to take out the trash.

I asked the guy to take it private, he's scared, but I kicked some figures up for him real quick...
I just did the math from the 2000 Census stuff, not counting booming growth since then, our count was 949,141... now you do YOUR math Cowpoke.
Dont worry, I even used a calculator to make sure I wasnt messing it up anywhere, since I'm not very smart.
Ahhh, back to recording.

vocoder stuff... nice production... wide open... would like more crack on the
snare/more violence/edge...

Nice bass tone... keyboard(?), but not bad...

Almost the mid-eastern minaret tune... moaning... The rhythm is sweet. Nice
marimba/xylo thing around 4:00...

It's some people's mission to scare the hell out of those comfortable souls
out there... Mr. Reznor and you got 'em goin.

I haven't listened to the tune yet but I just wanted to take this opportunity to say fuck. Since I've spent most of my time in 3 of the top 11 US cities I feel a newfound sense of intellectual superiority. This must be what it feels like to be Swedish.
