I think its a cool little tune, catchy in its own un-catchy way, if that makes sense. Reminds me of an evil version of Cake in a way.
As for the controversy... whatever. The only person I've found a problem with so far is that Winston Cowgirl person that finds it necc. to add cave-posts to the MP3 forum. Useless moron.
I can only listen to phones here, so I seldom make mix comments. I guess I should put a modem in my daw, but its prob not gonna happen :)
INterested in hearing some more stuff.
Sluice, I know you're looking too, I'm waiting on that album full off heavy Gagne songs. :)

I have to say something in Studioviols favour, every post I've read of his has been positive and educational. Everyone deserves a little slack when posting comments because it can be really difficult to convey emotion with this particular medium.
And Emeric, I agree with you about the Alice Cooper comment. Piltdown's voice has a similar character.
I found the track inspiring, a little different from a lot of the stuff that gets posted.

Haven't had a chance to listen (and can't download at work without significant risks), but I'm kind of intrigued with turning that Bob Carlisle schmaltz-fest upside down.

Just wanted to suggest that what I'll do sometimes is post the lyrics in the Songwriting forum, and the mp3 here, and cross reference them. Not only does it get discussions going on some different levels, but it also gets you some listens you might not get otherwise.

No hard and fast rule against posting lyrics here, either - just a couple of reviewers' personal pet issues. Plenty of truly obscene lyrics have passed this way (Wigga, get OFF my muthah!!!), spelling out the lyrics for us makes no diff on the offensiveness front, IMO.

As a Christian, I was pleased to see this was not a "you Christians are idiots" tune, but rather a pretty intelligent exposition of a non-Christian cosmology. You f#$%ing heathen.;)

I'll try to listen at home, but I have a real slow connection. In that sense, it's nice to have the lyrics to look at, in case I don't get to the rest of it...

Hey, I just wanted to say I thought the song was well done. The guitar sounds were very nice. Nice placement and sounds. The build-up was nice as well. This was not at all wahat I was expecting after hearing your other song. Nice! Keep us on our toes. I though the first vocal before the effects was a hair too dry. The center vocal that is. It could use some more verb IMOP. The delays were very nice. :cool:

powerful lyrics.....thanks for posting them. The mix sounds fine to me. Everything after the 3 minute mark seemed superflous to me....especially after the simplicity and strength of the first 3 minutes....nice original work....the lyrics seem real and honest dark as they may be.........is it just me or has anyone else noticed the dark tone of Pilt's tune and the negative vibe of the replies?
