I have no affiliation with this company what so ever, but I found a rental place that's selling a bunch of Lucid Genx-96 word clocks because they've upgraded to the Big Ben.

I got mine for $300. I thought I'd pass along the offer, I think they have 5 or 6.

Hmmm.... interesting... we've been shooting out the 'Big Ben' to the Lucid, the Rosendahl, the internal clocks on the Lavry, Crane Song, and Benchmark converters... as well as my RADAR-24 system... I have to say It's been a damn interesting experiment... though I really couldn't say that they have actually "upgraded" to the 'Big Ben'... it may indeed be more of a 'sideways' move...

Then again, we're not done with the "testing" proceedure... so I'm not sure we have any results that are indeed worth a fuck at this point.

Then I guess to think that I picked up a clock for $300 that is equivalent or close to the quality of those other big name pieces of gear.

I haven't put it through its procedures yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

frist44,

Thanks for the info.

I ordered one today, and am looking forward to trying it out.

What sound card are you going to be using yours with?

I will be using it with a motu 2408mk3 and 24i. I just bought this setup, and will be getting everything the first of next week. I also have a dbx 386 that could benifit from the genx as well, but I probably will be selling this soon as I mostly used it for the digital outputs, and I will no longer need it.

I'm using mine with an RME multiface and delta 1010. I'm trying to decide which card is better for me right now.

Have you recieved yours yet? If you have, what type of difference have you noticed with your cards?

And aside from the genx which card do you think has a better sound - the rme or delta?

I've got an almost new Lucid Genx 3 that I'm selling as well.

Regards,

Keith
