I have this Phase Linear Power Amp I got from my pops that crackles on play. It isn't recording gear, but I could definitely use it as a monitoring power amp if I get it up and running. Does anyone here have any experience with these? What would cause the crackling? Is the amp itself bad or just a component possibly? I might try fixing it myself if it's simple enough. It would probably cost $200 to bring it somewhere.
