Pervs And Pornos- Instrumental

I listened to this a bunch of times and caught on to something new each time - which is a good thing :).

Great guitar work and a nice arrangement. I like the noise breakdowns...unexpected given the nature of the other parts of the tune, but cool nonetheless.

I am listening somewhat quietly on pc speakers as my little one is asleep in the next room, but there seems to be a bit too much verb or something given the hard rockin' nature of the thing. I mean, I can hear everything clearly, I would just like to hear a couple of elements come forward with more punch. Definitely do not take my word on that though...:o

The beginning made me think of van halen and the middle section reminded me of judas priest! Thanks for posting this~! :D

ps...I dunno about the verb comment...a couple more listens at higher volume and the mix sounds pretty darn good.

Thanks man, as I said this was the 1st song I did ITB, so I just had to overuse as many plug-ins as I could. There's definitely too much reverb, but it was too tempting not to plaster it on at the time. :D
 
The intro - is there any keyboard there? I like the whole sonic assault.

Part I and III - I don't care for the wobblyness of the of the main lead. Just my preference.

Part II is classic Van Halen rhythm - nice...

I like the rotary on the lead sometimes and others I don't. I just wanted a different sound.
The lead in there I was very happy with.
 
Hey Riffmaster! Cool tune. I like the Rotary too sometimes...and sometimes not. I love it when imagination gets put to good use with the axe, using effects and such...and you've done that. It isn't always about simplicity.

Starting out as a techno going into a rocker frenzy on to a bluesy techno freak out....yep...Pervs and Porn alright!!;)

I like the different tones you have going on here. Gives great texture to the tune...my fav is the get down dirty solo begins at 1:12....great stuff!!


Intro is a bit loud for the shrillness it puts out...the rotary does somewhat drown out the dirty guit and I like the dirty best, although I understand the rotary effected axe is your main lead in the song? Still, you should up the volume on the back dirty lead..especially on the the rocker frenzy solo...scream my bwains out with it!!:D

Wouldn't hurt to make a bit more room for the bass either....just tell me to clam up anytime Riff!! Well..not more room..ummm...how do I word this. Define the bass a bit more I think.
 
Thanks True! I'd love to follow your excellent advice, but these files were lost in a nasty crash. I could try some EQ on the wav file, but I don't know how effective that will be. I just like the solo in it. :D
 
If you're doing a song version of my biography, I demand royalties :D

Kinda sounds Rush-ish. I'm with Ido on the warbly lead line in the beginning and end. It's kind of annoying. Not bad, but it's a little too much for me. The rest is good. Interesting instrumental. :)

But don't listen to me, I'm a bass player. :D

I just got done listening. Nothing I can point out that wasn't mentioned. Except the bass needs a bit more definition, IMO...

The rotary on the guitar is definitely hit and miss.
I may retrack this, but I have a blues tune going right now, so I'll see what happens after that.

I never labeled it. I defended it as an art piece because it obviously wasn't a good video or a great song. :D

But if you want to, I could dig up a video even uglier than mine for you to do something with.
