The thing I've discovered is that some of the thing we bang on about as essential, aren't and those we think don't matter, do. As a piece of music, the one track I remember so well was the 2:30 piece I needed to do for pictures set in an amazonian rain forest. I'd been playing with an elderly Korg workstation and found a preset on Bank 3 in a sub menu that fitted - it was one evolving continually sound - so the 2:30 piece was F, held down for ............. 2:30! It was one of those rush jobs and a buy out. One note, straight to a .wav. If only everything was so simple.

KORG, of the past was AMAZING.
and what is essential...It is looking to me like it is different for everybody. The end results can be similar but how they got there is different.
