I have 4 Peavey 12" woofers pulled from their Stage series monitors. They all work fine, I just replaced them with some Eminence units with higher power handling.
These are all supposed to be the same, according to Peavey they are "Blue Marvels", 65W/130W RMS/Peak, 8 ohms, but there is no "Blue Marvel" label on them, and they are visibly different.
So I have:
part #70777231, large heavy voice coil, all black in the pic, 5" depth, 6" voice coil diameter. When I pulled this one first, I wondered why I bothered to get the Eminence, because this one is just as massive. But the others have smaller coils.
part #96000291, model #054, silver frame and coil, 4.5" depth, 4.5" coil diameter.
and the little guys:
2 of part #70777097, black frame with gold-colored coil, 4" depth, 3" coil.
The little ones might be interesting on guitar, the big boy seems like a pretty decent PA driver, the middle one should be fine for that too. I did use these for two or three years with no troubles.
How about $30 for the big pup, $25 for medium, and $20 for the littles one each, or work out a combined deal if you want more'n one
