Farce of Nature
I've noticed that the garbage that Hewlett Packard tries to pass for a decent computer is built in such a way that it makes it next to impossible to try to switch out components. For example, I needed to take out a floppy drive out of an HP to install on an older computer and I got so pissed off that I tore into the other components, totally annihilating the wiring for the on/off switch.
Are all computers this bad? I'm asking because I plan to drop serious cash into a pc setup just for recording (I'm considering the Athlon route). I want to know how much aggravation I will be up against to replace drives and soundcards.
