Patchbay Advice?

Thanks for that, Dinty. So if the connections sound a bit scratchy, I'll know what to do. Though they look a bit expensive, maybe I could wrap something around a jack plug and use that?

If you don't have a burnisher just use a regular plug. Spray some cleaner in there, put the plug in and turn it around some.

The burnishers are made out of metal that is slightly abrasive, like really fine (maybe 1000 grit) sandpaper and they might be a hair oversize.

Any electronic cleaner is better than none, but Deoxit D5 has been the standard, most used one in pro studios for decades. It leaves the contacts in the best possible state. It might seem expensive but a can lasts me a year or more.

If I didn't have electronic cleaner I'd use isopropyl alcohol in a pinch.
