alright... i've had the digi 002 rack for about 10 months now, in the " control room " its just sitting on an old stand.... when we need mic drums or something we just run it under the door into the digi... , but now i just bought the RTA desk off musicians friend, and the digi is now going to be rack mounted into the desk, which brings up a problem.... i wont be able to move out the desk evreytime i need to plug something in you know ?

so in comes the patch bay.... would i be able to do something like this succesfully ??

--- Bassicly evrey input on the 002r is always connected to the patch bay... via 1/4>XLR cords... ... and then have a wall plate on the other side of the wall with WALL Jacks or something of that sort... all which are connected to the patch bay as well... and when i need to use a certain line from the wall jacks , i just plug in to the according patch bay right??

im really not sure how to go about this, if anybody has some other ideas, it'd be appretiated..

thanks.

Hi Alec,

That would work fine, Just keep them numbered so you know which channel is routed to which etc.

How is the Digi 002? Ive been thinking about getting it for a while now, but nobody i know has one so i can try it out.

Cheers,

Chris

that's how you should go about doing it. but you also need to think about which connections you want (if you even DO want them) normalled, half normaled, etc.

Tifstorey, personnally- i love the 002, its a very good setup at a decent price.. it suits my needs exactly.

bennychico11, what is "normalled, half normaled" exactly ???
