Paris Pro Setup!

Does anyone know anything about the Paris Pro Digital Recording system. I have an opportunity of purchasing on but want to know if they are a great system or not for digital recording!

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!
 
I friend of mine runs a commercial studio using Paris. It sounds great, works great. He runs it on a pII 400 mhz pc. I would say if the price is right grab it.
 
Paris on a PII??? I recall downloading the software a couple of years ago when I had a PII and it wouldnt run.

Paris is definitely a good deal right now if you dont mind the lack of upgradability. Its also more of a recorder...less a sequencer/MIDI application. You could be set for a couple of years but when the next generation of technology comes along(higher bitrates, better mix engines, etc) youll probably ditch it. The wild claims of paris "soudning" better are overblown. The people who use paris tend to have excellent mics, pres, monitors, comps, cables, etc
