Pan Issues When Mixing

If you record it in mono, there shouldn't be any problem.

With that screwed-up stereo file, if you highlight either the right or the left side and mix it down to a mono file, it should work okay.

1. I'm going to switch to mono for recording, will I get the exact same quality still yeah?
The general answer to that question is yeah, there's no difference in quality by recording to a mono file.

As far as your specific situation, all you can do is try and hope that whatever/wherever the bug that exists for stereo doesn't wind up affecting your mono recording in some way as well.
2. Being that song is already recorded would just inverting the messed up right channel be fine. Or should I load up the raw file (no compression, eq, reverb) invert it then and re mix it down? Just want the best sound possible and from then I'll try record in Mono.
Personally, if it were me, I'd do the invert fix on the raw channel, and then apply the effects and then re-mix from there; just to do it as right as possible no matter what.

Or, you could do like dobro suggests and extract one side as it's own mono file and use that; that would work fine as well. But either way, I'd go with the raw vocal and start over again.

And doing that either way should not affect the quality at all - except to correct the original problem you started this thread for, of course.

Also, you'll probably need to re-mix when you correct the inversion anyway, because the perceived volume of the corrected vocals will probably seem a bit louder than the inverted version, simply because they will sound more "centered". That may change the mix levels at which you want to mix them with your beat tracks.

In addition to that, there is a potential problem in your complete mixes if you're using beat tracks that you either took from a commercial source or created on a different sound card. If that's the case, if you try and invert one channel, you'll be "un-inverting" the vocal, but then inverting one of the sides of the beat material.
I doubt I'll get an exchange, bought it in a clearance batch on ebay (now I know why) but I did get it at a bargain and that tiny issue wont effect me in mono anyway =D
Definitely check out the mAudio site, not only for a potential driver fix (mAudio has had problems with a few of their drivers on a couple of their other boxes in the past...as have many companies), but also if they have a support forum of their own, maybe they know of something as well.
Thanks ALOT for helping me out though :D
No problem. It keeps an old man on his toes to do this kind of thing once in a while ;).

Yeah, probably. Though, it probably doesn't matter much in my case since I do everything out of the box, and then only bring in my left and right master tracks. So, either way, I have to pan them hard right and left. But I wonder if a panning law that increased the volume of hard panned stuff would give me more sort of "natural" volume on those 2 tracks.

I think it mostly matters if you frequently move your projects from place to place?
