I haven't found anything searching the forum and i'm starting to get desperate.

I bought an omni studio w/ delta 66 about a month ago. It was installed right the first time but I started to mess with the soundcard settings in windows for a bogus reason and then, windows wasn't able to recognize my cheap on-board soundcard, but no problems with the delta.

It's just this: when i go see my soundcard configuration in the control panel, i can't choose anything. All the options are de-activated. I can't even click to choose options.
Furthermore, acid seems to be able to use the midi capabilities of the on-board soundcard and it can record alright with the delta.

But some programs don't recognize the on-board s/c, only the delta. Some don't recognize any card. I was like "i'm gonna have to reinstall winXP (pro), I did but the problem in sound devices panel hasn't changed and the card is activated in the bios.

Can anyone tell me what the hell is goin on in my computer?

I think you manually disabled your soundcard in windows, go to device manager and scan for hardware changes. Hope your computer will recognize the soundcard then, if not pull the sound card out of the PCI (or) usb and start the computer, then put it back again and run the computer again. Good luck!

I already tried that.
Problem is, it isn't a PCI sound card. It is intergrated on the motherboard so i can't manually uninstall it. I ran the hardware scan and tried to reinnstall the sound card, but it's already installed! and windows dosen't recognize it!

You see, it's bugged! The driver is installed and windows says it is "functionning properly but you may not be able to use it (mode 10)"

Does anyone know what is mode 10?
