This sounds great (mix 3) - except for that piercing part in the middle. I'm not sure if it's frequency or volume but it (momentarily) took away my enjoyment of the track. The rest sounds "done" to me.

Still, I turned it up, turned it down, thought I had it under control (it is the vocoder and how it working). I might need to use a different source for the vocoder. I will try a few thing to see if I can get it where it isn't piercing the ears. Maybe just good ol' fashion fader riding (OK, automation, fader riding sounds cooler ;) )

Thanks ido.

how do you get that vocoder sound? reminds me of soundtoys little-altarboy plug-in, funny song, you should play this at a guitar convention

Cool sounds and feel to the song. I thought the synth parts were cool. Good use of vocal effects.

The bass was kind of boingy. Had a rubber ball sound. Lacking low midrange.

I had to go a different route with the second vocoder. I could get the high pitch under control, so went the opposite direction.

@TripleM Bass is bongy due to adding a synth bass to work around it. Not for sure if I added back low mid range. I changed some EQ setting once I changed the vocoder in the second part. I did not hear it lacking, but that is why we come here :)

Thanks everyone, this was a joke gone bad, but I did get more experience working with more varied sounds and a hand at pushing bass a little more.

Listening again. I didn't talk about the mix last time, but I will this time. Listening on headphones, and it's good. Maybe the vocoder vocal could have more compression on it. Also the other vocals. I don't know how much of it is dynamics and how much of it is the vocals are disappearing into other sounds that are happening in the mix. Whatcha think?

That bass sound is wonderful. Good work.

Might have been a joke gone bad, but it's good stuff to listen to. This is the kind of stuff that makes me come here.
