i am looking at getting an orange practice amp, they are 30 watts and are a very reputiable company, would this be good for recording?

I hear good things about them, and they're SS for sure. I plan on picking up the little 10 watter in a few weeks.
Oh, and as far as recording I'd say it'd be fine, assuming you like the tone.
