DC's Finest
Aight, I don't think many folks read my post in the NJ Nets thread but I'ma re-state it here.

How about we all put our strengths together and collab for the Nets competition?

My strength is as a lyricist whereas others like Red Cross are good at production, etc.

Opinions?

I think its a good Ideal...but you got get folks to be down to record a track that will be submitted..the deadline for it is March 5th..

I'm down... I'm more on the music end of things though....

Pac was 1 in a million, a truely gifted artist. No doubts toward u thou. It could easily b done. Anybody have a link to the competition?

But that was an album... This is just one song.... ;)

I feel you on that homie- there'll NEVER be another Pac (fuck "one in a million"- he's one in a MILLENIA! :D.) Also, this is the competition.

Peritus, let's get some beat ideas together and I'll e-mail you a verse; when we're done with the initial planning, I'll record it (studio recording) and we can submit the joint.

yall need to crowd lifting track that will make the crowd get up and cheer when the team come out on the court..

i think the beat should have a nice kick(thumping- not bassy) to it...JMO

and being that it in NJ/NY area it need to be a NY type of track...

That's the feel that's usually present in my style anyway.

Take a look at my stuff.... I'm not sure if I can flip NY style just yet... But I'll try...

I'm assuming this has to be sample-less... There goes a lot of your NY style...

Hit me up on this thread man...

I have ways of kinda faking that. If you take royalty-free loops and we tweaked the sound- it could sound vinyl. Also, I have methods for making drums get that grimy N.Y. sound. I'll post the tutorial I used (for the drums).

I added a maad crazy bunch of stuff to my site... See anything in there worth working with for this?

I think if we added some more compression to Windup Piano and made the drums more NY-style, it'd work. I think a lil reverb would help too.

I'm on it... Gimme a lil bit... I learned a few things since I put that version up...

... Back....

Okay... So I put up my new version... Mixed it over, completely!

I know you said you wanted verb... But, take a listen and post what ya think... I feel it's more bangin' without any more verb than is already there...
