hey everyone,
heres the deal: (by the way i'm recording on a tascam 688)
i only have one compressor and i need to compress three tracks on a recording i'm working on. the bass drum, bass guitar, and lead guitar. i have concluded (duh) that the only way to do this is to bounce each track through the compressor to a new track. my question: how to hook it all up? do i use the effects sends, the aux outs, the tape outs, or the group outs to go to the compressor? i'm assuming that i will use the line in on the new track.
also, this is just for those who are very familiar with the 688: how exactly does one use the "dual" function on this machine. i do not have a manual, but these "dual" controls seem very useful. is there a way that i can accomplish my goals stated above by bouncing to or from the "dual" section of the machine?
any help with either of these questions is much appreciated...
