What makes it more incredible is not only how young he is but the fact that they are putting together some very nice musical riffs and phrases. Not just random notes.

Nah. Give 'em an acoustic guitar and see what happens. I typically measure how good a player is by how they can do on an acoustic, and by that measure, I've still got plenty of work to do. Now, in my opinion, neither one of those videos featured any kind of shredding. What they did feature was pickin', and some damned good pickin', at that.
