Can you provide links for the 2 separate models?

The MC-012, MK-012, and MK-012-01, are the same mic... MF sells the MK-012-1, SR sells the MC-012 and etc, etc.

I just learned over at RO today that Oktava prefixes MK and ML are Russian for:

MK= Mikrophon Kondensorniy (Condenser)
ML= Mikrophon Lentochniy (Ribbon)

Don't know what M'C' stands for... (MC Hammer? :p)

BTW, MF doesn't carry Oktava - only GC.

cool

thanks guys, i just wanted to know to make sure if i bought a pair that they were the same thing. Thanks again! ~Andrew

MC is probably Microphone Condenser and I guess it's for the US market, just fastly translated.

...will we see a MR = Microphone Ribbon.

I think it's much better, less confusing and nicer to keep the original names.

Wonder what the Neumann names UM, KM or TM stands for. Guess the M is Mikrofone.
