ohms question

I have just bought the yorkville passive ysm1i's. I have a realistic amplifier. It's an old 70's stereo amp. On the back it says use only 8-16 ohms and for four ohms to see the manual. My speakers are 6 ohms. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry about it unless: you are planning on really cranking the receiver hard. Even then, you should just blow a fuse rather than doing any damage to the amp.
So I'd go ahead and use them but if you blow a fuse you'll need to rethink it.

BTW......make sure it has the right sized fuse in it.
