has anyone got nuendo 2 cuz i can record and hear the midi sound, but when i import the wave format file it wont play nor record. I was just wondering if it needs a I/O soundcard since sonard does and cubase records offtiming on usb interface.

So, you BOUGHT Nuendo, but you do not have a soundcard?

is that right?

Nuendo 2 + Sonar + Cubase = about $2200.00

With an investment like that, I would read the manuals, having the tools is not nearly as important as knowing how to use them.

to my point

if you have $2000 invested in software, I would think you would be

A. already be using an I/O card

B. Be hitting the manuals pretty hard

heh, no way you guys! he probably just "tried out" cubase and sonar at his friend's house... i mean studio.

lol damn people I aint no rookie to engineering, Im rookie to this program. And sonar is not really compatible with the usb sound card that i have so it needs a pci type. Cubase well somebody told me at sam ash that the new one takes out pro tools. So i was wondering if it did because i wanna buy pro tools but instead I decided to try out Nuendo and its exactly just like cubase but for some reason it wont run the wave files i import. I been using Acid to lay down the vocal tracks (i know i know is a looping program) but is really good, specially for the mix down, and chopping up off time dubs and flying them on time is way easier and faster then any of these programs i been trying out. BUt i been wanting to upgrade just for the hell of it, so been trying all this programs to see which one to settle with and no i did not buy them. I got friend that are also engineers so the fly me a copie of what ever they are recording with, but i highly suggest to buy the real programs. I bought reason right after i used its making my life easier.

oh yea whats a good recording program that syncs with the mixboard?

Nuendo will import just about anything you throw at it, you must be doing something wrong, ( i can't imagine what) or the bootleg you are using is screwing you. ( I have had no problems like this ) The real version will work.
Nuendo (and cubase) will work with any soundcard that has ASIO drivers, usb, pci, firewire,... it doesn't matter.

Farview is right. I have thrown 3 or 4 different cards at Nuendo and it worked with all of them....no worries. USB, Firewire, PCI....all good.

I've been using Nuendo since ver. 1.0 came out (Now using 2.1) and I've never had a problem like that.
Either you're using a cracked version, or you haven't read the manual.
