I finally did it. Studied up. Bought equipment. Took about three months and recorded an album. I think my biggest problem was my room, I recorded every single part of it right in my little bedroom. The guitar sound never got where I wanted it, drums turned ok after alot of eq/verb/and other effects in the post production. Vocals were decent I suppose. Need a preamp.

ANYWAYS. That's what I already know is wrong with it, tell me what else you think.

You can listen to the whole album. HERE

If you just want to hear one song, just skip to #6 Black Light. That is my favorite.

Hello? Is there anybody in there?

(Pink Floyd Pun Intended)

I will listen :)

That's a good effort to go record that whole album. I like the starting track the way it winds you up...

Then I skipped to your recommended track. Your sounds are a bit metally for my normal liking. But loads of energy. And novel to my ears.

I liked "Anticipating..." which came on next. Lots of dynamics. But look after that voice, man!

All the drums of course are fresh and fun.

Enjoy your next project

I skipped to Black Light.
I'd have to say that a) the vocals are the weak point.
The guitar sound that comes in at approx 2.00 isn't a good match for the rest of the song.
Either re consider your vocal approach, add some warmth to it (a tube pre would help a little) or get some one else to sing for you.
The cymbals get pretty splashy in there.
What did you record into?
It all sounds a bit brittle & cold.
The metal riffing guitar sound in #7 is just plain awful - & not in the awe inspiring, full of awe way either.
I reckon you should do some serious work on these recordings. the songs are good, the playing seems good too. But it's not quite right - cold & unengaging. Ultra lo fi would have suited several of the songs in a data Panik Pere Ubu kind of way.
Don't be disheartened by my comments.
Were this a "warmer" recording I'd be in like Flynn.
Cheers

Thank you. Comments seem spot on. I totally agree. I'm trying my best, never had any classes and I'm only 17.

Lots of work to do obviously. I'll keep those comments in mind for the next project.
