Hi all

I'm quite new to all this, but I'm quite sure my problem is common. Basically, I'm recording in my piano via "what u hear", into a wave editor. I'm playing my electric piano, which is playing a soundfont on my PC. all that's fine, except the quality is quite poor when the texture of the music gets heavy. You know what I mean, I don't know the word for it, but sounds like someone's scrumpling up paper over it, just 'noise'.

How can I eliminate this? Is there a better recording method given my basic set-up? I have a line-in lead but don't know what to do with it yet. Or are there programs that will eliminate noise?

Thanks in advance guys.

I'm pretty sure your going to want to be playing into the line in.
The crumpling paper sound that you here is probably clipping from the signal being too loud. There is noise reduction software that usually works pretty good but for that kind of noise, theres probably something wrong with your signal chain. I'm almost certain you don't want to record through "What U Hear" and you want to use the "Line In"
